Thanks to the generous support of the Medarva Healthcare Foundation, the W.H.E.E.L.S. Kindergarten Readiness Program is provided free of charge to participating schools. Schools are provided with a variety of materials to help promote their school's dedication to addressing all aspects of kindergarten readiness.
The non-invasive screenings are conducted at area preschools by our trained and credentialed program staff, using the latest in screening technology to perform quick and effective screenings on the students. The advanced technology means that students do not have to verbally or physically respond to any visual or auditory commands as part of the screening process, which helps to provide more reliable results. Screening results are provided for parents on the day of service on a detailed certificate that indicates the screening parameters and outcomes. |

MEDARVA continues to support the Kindergarten Readiness initiative, serving thousands of Richmond Area preschool children each year and helping to prepare them to enter kindergarten with all of the benefits of their healthy vision and hearing.
